Mitsuru Mashiba (真柴充 Mashiba Mitsuru), or Mashiba-san (真柴さん) was an Former Insei who pass the pro exam with Akira and One of Isumi's opponents in the Young Lions Tournament. Isumi defeats Mashiba. Mashiba studies under Hiroshi Mizoguchi 9-dan.
Mitsura Mashiba thinks he is better than the Insei's because he is a pro. He gets corrected after losing to Shinichirou Isumi.
